In my previous hub, I talked extensively about the 1200 calorie diet. If you think that the 1200 calorie diet is a bit too difficult, I would highly suggest that you try the 1500 calorie diet instead. The core of a 1500 calorie diet is not much different from the 1200 calorie diet. So, I would not repeat the same stuff in this hub. Here, I am going to give you a sample of the 1500 calories diet menu.
Breakfast: You should start your day with a bowl of high fiber cereal and a glass of low fat milk. Have some fruits like apples, oranges, bananas or blueberries.
Before you go to work, snack on a piece of fiber rich cereal bar.
Lunch: Have a peanut butter jelly sandwich. However, make sure you use whole wheat bread instead of white bread. They are rich in fiber and they keep you full for a longer period of time, If you wish, you can have some light snacks like fruits, carrot sticks or sunflower seeds, something for you to chew on.
Dinner: You have two options. You can go for the whole wheat pasta with lean meat/beans (for vegans) or you can have a plate of salad with plenty of veggies and beans for nutrients, fiber, vitamins and anti-oxidant.
Keep in mind that this menu is merely a suggestion for your 1500 calorie diet plan. Feel free to find the food that you like, try new things and mix it up.
