How To Stop Crying Babies?

If you have recently become the proud mother or father of a new child then you are probably very emotional and excited.Your life will now be more about the child rather than yourself and you will begin to learn how to love another individual with undying love and devotion. Having a child can bring a lot of joy, but you will have to learn how to effectively deal with situations that can rise up daily. Crying babies would be one of the major obstacles for new parents who are unprepared to deal with the situation. Also, crying babies can quickly cause a headache, for this reason you should take a moment to consider the following tips and advice.

Understand that when your baby is crying it is because they are trying to communicate and express their feelings. Since they are unable to express themselves verbally, crying seems to be the only way for them to send their message across. It is important to respond to them whenever they cry. If you do not respond to their cry, more often than not, it will continue. Try your hardest to remain calm and understand that the noise and tears will not last forever.

It is essential to identify just why it is that they are crying. Understanding the underlying reasons makes all the difference in the world. They may be trying to communicate to you that they are tired, hungry, unstimulated, or uncomfortable. If you feel that the problem is because they are hungry then feed them with milk from the bottle. Also they may be crying because of a build up of gas, if so try to encourage them to burp. If tiredness is the cause then pick them up and rock and cradle them gently in your arms until they drift off. More often than not, calm music can also help them to fall asleep.

The temperature of the nursery can also affect their comfort level and cause a crying episode. It is very crucial to make sure that the temperature in the baby room is just right for your baby. If you are not sure what the right temperature is, you can always take cues from your baby. Look at their physical appearance and how they behave to get a hint. If they appear red faced and hot then remove some clothing, conversely if they are shivering and shifting about, then this simply means that the air temperature is cool add a few more layers.

It is also advisable for you to carry your baby often to establish the physical connection and to strengthen the parent and child bond. Research has found that those babies that are carried for a minimum of three hours a day do not cry so often as those who are infrequently picked up. This is because they may feel insecure being away from close physical contact.

Sometimes, the living condition in your house may not suit the little toddler due to poor air circulation. Fresh air can often help to stop a baby crying. If they are screaming their lungs out indoors then take them out into your yard or garden, this usually helps to calm them down. Also, babies will indeed become more healthy if they are constantly getting a good supply of fresh air. It improves their breathing and blood circulation.

It can occur that some babies do not enjoy being in the presence of too many people or a lot of noise. They can be easily scared or intimidated with the rowdy atmosphere. If you notice the problem is worse when other people are around then try to keep them a little more isolated. This will help your baby stay calm for a longer period of time. They are probably just "shy" in the presence of strangers and unfamiliar faces.

However, things might not always appear as it may seem. While crying babies are quite natural in most cases, sometimes they might be crying due to some underlying health and medical conditions. If the crying continues no matter what changes you make it may be worthwhile taking your baby for a medical check up because something is definitely not right. A paediatrician should be able to quickly identify whether or not a health issue is the cause of the problem. Of course, as a parent, you are also responsible for the health of your child. When you know that you are getting pregnant, you should avoid alcohol, drugs, work less, get more rest and sleep early whenever possible. In a lot of cases, certain medical conditions associated with newborn babies can be prevented if the mom is living a healthy lifestyle. Shower your baby with tender loving kindness and you should be doing just fine.

It's just so hard not to hold your little one more than three hours a day but, if you can refrain from holding them non stop there will be less crying! Great Hub!
