What does it actually mean to find true love? And how is it done? And when does love fail? In this article, I will try my best to address those questions. You will be surprised that meaning of true love itself actually changes with age and experience.

To find true love, you will have to get love in the first place. Now, I will explain how to get someone to like you. If you are a guy, you have to be confident. Girls love boys who are confident and not shy. That is why all good guys will never get any girls. But ironically, relationships with those shy good guys tend to last while relationships that started with casual dating almost always end in divorce. As for girls, if you like someone, you must make the move. Remember the shy guy, if you never make any move, he never will. But someone has to make the first move.

What is the ideal version of true love? If you think that you have to be like Romeo and Juliet with all the passion and stuff in order to find true love, you are wrong, In fact, many teenage love do not last because both sides are putting on a show. The girl never shows her temper, dresses neatly and never nags the guy. The guy is always in his best behavior and considerate when he is with the girl. But think about the situation again, how long can you put up with the act? Once the cat is out of the bag, the relationship is over. So much for trying to find true love. Of course, when you find that someone is not perfect, you break up with that person and move on to the next person. In the process, you gain more experience. You keep dating until you find someone that you would marry and that is when love is tested. Both of you will definitely get into some squabbles and argument and if you still love each other despite that, you pass the first stage of finding true love.

The next step would be having kids. When both of you have kids, the mother would spend more time with the kids and there will be a lot of financial issues to consider. It is at this time that you will begin to think again. Is our love real? At this point of life, I can almost certainly say that all the initial love passion is gone. You have reached the practical stage of finding true love. At this point, the willingness to communicate, talk to each other and share problems is very important. If both of you really love each other, you will be able to solve these issues.

When you are in your fifties, you will know each other very well, all your partner's strengths and weaknesses. It is very important to be honest with each other and keep your communication lines open. Some couples allow the communication to be nothing more than habitual remarks while others try to keep the passion alive. At this point, couples who provide support to one another are most likely to define their love as true love. It is not difficult to see that since they make it through rough times together.

So, who told you that to find true love would be an easy task? No, it never was. True love must be mutual. Both of you must love each other equally and that love must stand the test of time because in the long run, you will know each other very well, too well in fact. Heard of the saying, familiarity breeds contempt? But if you manage to survive all that squabbles and dwindling passion, the person you are married to is your true love.
