Finding Free Work At Home Jobs
The trend of the 21st century seems to be moving toward working at home with flexible hours and no supervisors bossing you around. In fact, everyone dreams about working from the comfort of his or her own home, where the need to commute is eliminated and family members are always close by to give you the moral support that you need. Alright, some reality check! Although working from home is very much desirable, it is easier said than done. First of all, you need to have the discipline to stick to your pre-set, defined schedule because you are in charge of your own performance. You will also need to know where to look for these jobs.
Looking for jobs you can do from home can be a challenging task in itself. Everywhere you look, companies want to charge a fortune to even start. Even a crappy sales job like Amway charges you $300 for a super basic business starter kit under the pretext of being an independent business owner. I, for one, do not trust Amway. Anyway, the rule of thumb is this: if you have to pay to get started on the job, then the job is probably not worth your time. You are being scammed by the company, very much like "data entry" or "posting links on Google" jobs that are littered all around the internet. The nasty motto is always: Yes, you can start the job TODAY....for a small payment of $49.95...billed monthly to your credit card. What a joke!! There are free work at home jobs out there but you will have to do some research to find them. Here are some ideas for you to start off and a few tips to keep in mind while you are looking for one.
Freelance writing is a great way to make money at home. There are companies that will let you write for them and pay you per article. Just do a search for freelance writing and you will find some great opportunities. There are even sites that you can run an ad for freelance writing and get hired by an individual. This is a very lucrative industry since most webmasters are too lazy to produce their own content and they are afraid of Big G's duplicate content penalty. So, there is always a demand for unique content to slap on webpages.
Outsourcing is another way to make money with out having to pay. Large companies are starting to hire people from home to do their customer service and other types of work. It can take some time to get hired by the company but if you just keep trying you can find this type of work. A good way to do so would be to go directly to the company's website and check for job openings. You will be surprised at what you will find. Trust me, sheer persistence will pay off in the long run when you are looking for these types of jobs.
If you are good at answering questions and providing solid customer service, you may also want to try telemarketing. Many firms are hiring single moms to perform this type of job. Companies will hire you to sit and sell their products and services. The only downfall to this type of work is that most will pay commission. This means that you will have to be able to sell to make money. If you do have a gift for selling you can make some good money doing this. However, there is a moral aspect to this. Occasionally, you will be asked to sell "crap" to customers and recommend products that they do not need. I know, this is just business, but personally, I wouldn't be able to do this. If you are fine with all the pushy sales call, by all means, go for it but you need to understand that not everyone will be comfortable with this type of job.
Where to start?
Bulletin boards and free ad directories are a great way to find this type of work. You can read post of different jobs that are available and also find the links to apply. This is also a great way to meet people who are doing the same thing you are. You can even get tips and how to where to look for work.
When trying to find this type of work you have to look out for dishonest companies. Scam Alert!! There are many people out there that try to feed off unsuspecting people looking for honest work. You have to always check the company out and make sure that they are legit. Do some research and read user reviews before taking the plunge. There are some nasty companies out there that will let you work and not pay you at all.
There are legitimate free work at home jobs out there. Just make sure you do some research and do not fall for a scam. You can make some good money working like this but working from home is different than a nine to five job. You need a cold hard discipline to do the same thing over and over again, consistently on a daily basis. If you do not have this kind of determination, you will never succeed at most work at home jobs. So make sure you know what you are getting into.
