Money making ideas for kids

Before you continue reading this hub, let me give you my own definition of kids. To me, kids are those aged between 12 to 18. Let's be logical...you do not expect your 9 or 10 year old children to work, do you? Now that you know the definition of 'kids', let's move on to some top 5 ways to make money for kids. The most important element is this: Kids must enjoy what they are doing.

Now, top 5 ideas on how to make money for kids!!

Babysitting - If your kid have a thing for babies and toddlers, this might be the right summer job for your child. Many adults are working and they simply do not have the time to take care of their babies. But it is not wise for them to hire an unknown person in their neighborhood to be a babysitter. There is where your child can step in. They know they can rely on you.

Washing cars - I know. This job is physically tiring and as far as I know, no one enjoy washing cars. It is tiring and it involves a lot of work but it pays fairly well.

Mowing lawn - When I was a student, people keep posting ads on the university employment website, looking for students to mow their lawn. Again, it pays very well, about $10 an hour. Also, if you get the job, you can bet that they will call you again the second time around. And lawn moving is a monthly thing. So, this is probably a job where you can get some repeat customers.

Tutoring - If your kid is an English whiz or a Math genius, he could probably be a tutor. Knowledge is only one part of tutoring. Your child must also have the passion to teach in order to succeed.

Blogging - This is the most unconventional method to earn side income and it is probably the hardest. As a blogger, I know! You can write tons and tons of stuff and still reel in zero money. Do not trust the facebook and the pop-up ads that say that you can make $1000 per day. Liar! But unlike the first four, you do not see money instantly but you are building an "asset"! Your blogs stay with you even when you stop writing. If by chance, someone ever reads the blog and click on the ads, which honestly, rarely happens, you might earn a few dollars.

There you have it! 5 distinct ideas on how kids can make money.
