Searching For Online Business Ideas Holy Grail
If I am not mistaken, this is my tenth hub on the topic of making money online. Are you interested in making some extra money? Well, who doesn't. In depressing economic times like these, it can be a big help. However, make no mistake whatsoever. An online business idea is still a business. You need to have an idea, carve out a robust business plan from your idea and start executing those ideas ruthlessly. Because an online business is easy to start, many people make the mistake of thinking that the money is going to come in easily. Sorry to break the bad news to you, matey but the world is just not that simple.
Like every other business models in the world, you first need to learn about smart expenditure. When you spend x amount of money on some software or some marketing campaigns, it must be able to generate more than x for you within a reasonable period of time. It is meaningless for someone to claim that they make $100000 a year when they spend $99999 on adwords. You are better off flipping burgers at McD if that is your case. When you are just starting out in the online business arena, choose the most basic and the simplest strategy that you can apply daily and stick to them. When you start making some money, move on to the more advanced strategy. Also, you need to take marginal cost into account. Marginal cost is simply defined as the amount of money you spend to create an additional webpage or an additional campaign. If your expenditure is more than your revenue and this has been going on for a year or so, it is time to change your business plan. Enough talking! Perhaps you could use a few thoughts below to help you get started. Here are some online business ideas to ponder.
The first model is the basic web publishing business. Basically, you slap up a webpage and you provide users with the content that they are searching for. In fact, many profitable ventures will require you to have a website. But merely having a website will not make you any money, you also need to have a much sought after service or a product. The products or services that you provide will determine the name and content of your website. By the way, it does not cost much to have your own domain. Do a little search online and you should be able to look for the services that you need. For domains, I would go with GoDaddy. They are the largest domain company around. The best hosting provider is undoubtedly HostGator. This company allows you to host unlimited domains. Next, I am going to elaborate more on the concept of products and services.
Providing Quality Service:
There are many types of services that you may market on the Internet. If you are still scratching your head thinking about what service to provide. calm down. Think about it from this point of view: what is it that you like to do? You may already have training and expertise in some field. You may be good at web design, for example. There is a large market for this. Many people want their own website. However, they are not too familiar with the workings.
For a fee, you might help people get their website going. They may wish to accept credit card payments. This means that they will need special things for that service. You will provide what they need and you get paid for the service that you provide.
Another service is free lance writing. Web content is a large market, these days. There is a constant need for someone to write copy for websites. Many people are also interested in search engine optimization, with web articles. Not everyone can write effectively and some webmasters are just plain indolent. This is where someone with writing skills is needed. Do an online search for article submission services and you may find some money making opportunities.
Products
You could always make a product to sell. Is anyone in your family good with arts and crafts? If not, you might consider trading, buying low and selling high on online portals like ebay and amazon. With a little start up money, you might be able buy things in bulk through a wholesaler. You can then market them on the Internet. What if I do not have a product to sell? Don't worry, this is where the third business model kicks in...
Affiliate programs
Affiliate programs offer many advantages for making money. You may not need to spend any cash to get started. You will need a website or a blog. This gives you the chance to feature products. Suppose you have a blog about home appliances. You can write about or review a large number of products. At the end of each article you can place a link to the product.
Since you are an affiliate, you will get a percentage of the sale. Another good thing is, you do very little work. You do not have to take orders and credit card information. There is no shipping items to customers. You will get some of the money for directing people to a website. It is a very good way to make money. After you get your website or blog set up, you can make money, day or night. A good place to look for products to promote would be clickbank. You can also check out this website to read some reviews on good clickbank products. An alternative to clickbank would be PayDotCom. Your first assignment as an internet newbie would be to check out these two websites.
I hope these three ideas will start you off on the right path. Do not rush to do all three of them. Choose one, stick to the plan, be careful with all your expenditure and you should see success very soon. The key here is patience and consistency.
