Stewie - The Broccoli Must Die
Changing your views about vegetable recipes
When I posted my first hub on vegetable salad, I figure out that there will be people out there who do not like greens. As we all know, vegetables are...not always the main dish. When we are young, we eat vegetables because mom tells us to do so. Vegetables are a side dish and they only occupy a small portion of our plate. So, in this hub, I am going to change your perspective about eating vegetables. We all love meat but if that is what we are eating every single day, we will soon die of heart attack, blood clot. etc. Don't be like Baby Stewie...
Let's start this article in a FAQ style:
Why must I eat vegetables?
Again, as I have mentioned in my previous article, they are rich in fiber. It prevents digestive problems and it keeps us full..good news to all those who want to lose weight. I bet you don't know that, did ya? Again, it is low in calories and you burn more fat by eating them.
How does it enhance my physical well-being?
Good news! Greens are rich in nutrients, vitamins and anti-oxidants. Besides preventing cancer, it helps you reverse the effect of free radical damage. Also, it is good for your complexion. If prevents acne (for teenagers) and wrinkled skin (for the elderly group).
Can you give me some ideas of some tasty vegetable recipes?
I know...I know...you need something to tantalize your taste buds. Fortunately, options are always abound. Go to Pizza Hut Express and you will be able to see pizzas for veggie lovers. There are even ready-made vegetable pizzas in supermarkets. All you need to do is just shove them into your oven. Then, we have vegan pesto spaghetti. Do you like Asian food? Then, try their vegetable fried rice and their vegetable egg rolls/spring rolls. If you want something spicy, try eating some Indian food, They are rich in spice and they are so good at it that you cannot tell the difference between a normal meat recipe and their vegetarian counterpart.Yes, they are not fresh vegetables per se but it is always a good start. Better have some steamed, fried or spicy greens than no greens at all.
So, I hope this article changes your perception on eating vegetables. It is not that bad. When you are eating out, instead of ordering meat, try tofu or vegetables instead. Trust me, they taste more or less the same.
